Raggedy Ann

Raggedy Ann is the enduring and lovable doll created by Johnny Gruelle which he patented in 1915. Always trying to do the right thing, and have a little fun along the way, Raggedy Ann and her friends come to life when Marcella (the doll's child friend), leaves them, with Fido, Marcella's dog, often bearing witness. Whether playing make-believe, tumbling down stairs or allowing a bird to use her hair to build a nest, Raggedy Ann, and the stories about her, put forth the values and beliefs that creator Johnny held dear - kindness, generosity, cooperation, friendship and love.

Miss Freebairn is an actress/voiceover artist with over 20 years of experience. She has performed in numerous regional productions including "Parallel Lives," "Vital Signs," "Universal Language," "Death Defying Acts," "Whodunnit," "Little Women," "Gigi," and "Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe." Ms. Tarr was nominated for an Irene Ryan award for her work in "Talking With." She was lucky to perform her role of "Audition," for an evening of scenes at the Verne Riffe Center in Columbus, Ohio. Ms. Tarr is a part of a new theatrical venture called "HAUNT." She has years of improv experience and has performed in murder mysteries and dinner theater. Her speciality area is character comedy and dialects. Ms. Tarr is a staff voiceover artist for WCAN, a pod casting station. By day, she works as a pediatric speech language pathologist teaching voice and phonetics. She is a huge Judy Garland fan, and loves old movies, vintage clothes, and classic TV. She dreams of being a famous children's author, and riding her bicycle around like Jessica Fletcher.

Raggedy Ann is an old-fashioned, living doll that will visit your child on his/her special day. Raggedy is great for family parties, picnics, weddings and birthdays. Raggedy plays indoor/outdoor games, (weather permitting,) and reads lots of great stories. She also is great with craft activities.
